Because of the COVID-19 pandemic that led to the Canada-U.S. border being closed to non-essential travel, the Blue Jays played their entire shortened season outside Toronto. The majority of their home games were in Buffalo, N.Y., where they went 17-9. And thanks to an expanded postseason format, they advanced to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Toronto will have its hands full in a best-of-three American League Wild Card Series vs. the East Division-champion Rays beginning Tuesday at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. Most pundits don't think the upstart Jays have much of a chance, but don't tell them that. Young guns Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette and veteran ace Hyun-Jin Ryu will look to make noise this postseason.

The Blue Jays' Wild Card Series against the AL East-champion Rays will air on Sportsnet and SN Now. Game 1 will have a one-hour pregame show beginning at 4 p.m. ET with Jamie Campbell and Pat Tabler being joined by former Jays pitcher John Axford. Game 2 will have a half-hour pregame show.
