Angels' Mike Trout makes major statement on home run hot streak image

Mike Trout hasn't been at his best, healthiest self for a while.

But in the past week-plus, the Angels superstar is showing he's still got it.

Trout launched a missile of a home run on Friday night in Houston, off the back wall in left field beyond the Crawford Boxes.

It was Trout's third home run in less than 24 hours, and his sixth in his last eight games. He's letting his bat do the talking.

Injuries have limited Trout in recent seasons. In 2024, he hit just 10 home runs for the entire season.

To already have six on April 11 is a big deal for Trout.

He's also helped the Angels to their best start in recent memory, with other guys around him like Taylor Ward, Jo Adell and Kyren Paris also slugging homers.

If Trout keeps it up, the Angels will have a chance. And if others follow the lead of one of the greatest baseball players of all time, the Halos could contend for a playoff spot.
