The postseason has arrived!

Wild Card Series opens September 30

The 2025 Major League Baseball postseason is officially set, and the chase for the World Series begins Tuesday, September 30, with four Wild Card matchups. Each series is best-of-three, running through October 2 if necessary. All games will air on ESPN platforms, with Spanish broadcasts available on ESPN Deportes and Univision.

Tuesday’s opener features the Tigers visiting the AL Central champion Guardians at 1 p.m. ET, followed by Padres vs Cubs at Wrigley Field on ABC. The prime-time spotlight belongs to baseball’s fiercest rivals when the Red Sox meet the Yankees in the Bronx at 6 p.m., and the night closes with the Reds traveling west to face the Dodgers at 9 p.m. ET.

Division Series follows immediately

After the Wild Card round, the Division Series begins Saturday, October 4. Both ALDS openers will be carried by FOX/FS1, while the NLDS matchups air on TBS, truTV, and HBO Max. The series will run through October 11 if games go the distance.

Championship Series set for mid-October

The ALCS starts Sunday, October 12, while the NLCS opens Monday, October 13. Both series will feature extensive coverage, with FOX handling the American League and TBS carrying the National League. If full seven-game series are needed, the ALCS would finish October 20 and the NLCS on October 21.

World Series begins October 24

The Fall Classic gets underway Friday, October 24, at the home park of the team with the better record. FOX and FOX Deportes will broadcast the entire series. Game 7, if necessary, is scheduled for Saturday, November 1.

With the Blue Jays locking down the AL’s top seed and home-field advantage, and powerhouses like the Dodgers, Phillies, and Yankees eyeing a title run, the stage is set for one of the most unpredictable Octobers in recent memory.
