Not every team in Major League Baseball has the funds to go out and make massive deals. For the New York Yankees and their fan base, that's all they've done for much of their existence.

If the Yankees want a player and genuinely believe they'll help their team, they'll be right there with the best offers out there for any player on the market.

This winter, it might be no different, as the Yankees will have an opportunity to land Kyle Tucker of the Chicago Cubs. Tucker is set to hit the free agency market, arguably as one of the top free agents in Major League Baseball over the past decade.

Will Yankees sign Kyler Tucker this offseason?

It'll be interesting to see what decision Tucker makes, as there are certainly several factors he has to consider. However, the Yankees should feel confident in landing him if they can come in with a substantial offer.

The question remains about how much that offer could be, but Jim Riley of BallCapSports likes the Yankees winning the race.

"I believe in the end the New York Yankees will win that bidding war," Riley said. "To pair Judge with a dangerous lefty hitter again (after Soto), bang, bang, one-two, that's a power combo right here, Tucker and Judge, and I think the Yankees want that. I think they won't be outbid, they won't take no for an answer, and I see Tucker in pinstripes."

Tucker has had a strange year, arguably not even playing much better than Trent Grisham in terms of pure offensive stats.

However, he's also dealing with an injury, so it's tough to get a clear sense of what he's going through.

If the Yankees believe he could return to the level he's expected to in the future, it might be a decent idea to bring him to New York if the organization makes the other right moves.
