Yankees' Jazz Chisholm Jr. backs Aaron Boone after tying wild card series vs. Red Sox image

The New York Yankees are squaring off against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday night for what is one of the most exciting games on the baseball calendar to this point. One of the fiercest rivalries in baseball renewed, and the first two games of this best-of-three wild-card series have been a tense back-and-forth battle.

After being benched in the first game of the series, Jazz Chisholm Jr. played a huge part in the later innings of game two to help New York prolong the series. Chisholm scored the game-winning run, and Aaron Boone managed a really good game.

Following the game, Jazz stood by his manager.

Jazz Chisholm has ultimate faith in Aaron Boone

There has been a lot of speculation recently about how Aaron Boone's job may be on the line if the Yankees do not make noise this postseason. Well, that would make this critical game three may have a lot to do with that decision by the Yankees' ownership group.

Jazz made sure to clear the air on any potential tension between him and his manager following the Yankees' Wednesday night win:

"There was never a problem between me and Aaron Boone," said Chisholm Jr. "He's been my manager all year and I've stood behind him all year."

Jazz also pointed out that the two have had a couple of disagreements earlier in the year, but that's him being passionate about the game and where he comes from.

Either way, both Jazz and Boone will have to be on the same page in game three if the Yankees want to advance to the ALDS to face another division foe in the Toronto Blue Jays.
