New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez has been hard pressed for playing time in the team’s crowded outfield. As such, he could potentially be on the move soon.
Dominguez was once a prized prospect of the Yankees throughout the early 2020’s. When he was called up to the Majors at the end of the 2023 season, he made his presence known right away, smashing four home runs in eight games before going down with a UCL injury that ended up requiring Tommy John surgery.
He would play in just 18 games the following season before becoming a regular for the team in 2025. In 123 games, Dominguez hit.257 with 10 home runs, 47 RBIs and 23 stolen bases.
Given his strange role with the team, ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel and Jeff Passan have named Dominguez as a player who could be moved this offseason.
While he has plenty of talent, Dominguez found himself as an afterthought in the Yankees’ outfield given the fact that Aaron Judge, Trent Grisham, and Cody Bellinger were occupying the starting spots. With Grisham already back, and the Yankees expecting to be in the mix for Bellinger, and Kyle Tucker this offseason, it begs the question of whether or not Dominguez has a long-term future with the Yankees.
