The New York Yankees' starting lineup hasn't been at full strength yet this season.
New York is in first place in the American League East with a 27-19 record and yet it has been able to do this without the services of All-Star slugger Giancarlo Stanton. He's been dealing with elbow injuries.
MLB.com's Bryan Hoch shared a brief update about Stanton and noted that the team currently doesn't have a set date for Stanton to begin a rehab assignment.
"There is no set date for Giancarlo Stanton to begin a rehab assignment, Aaron Boone said," Hoch shared on social media.
Stanton appeared in 114 games last year with New York and racked up 27 homers and 72 RBIs while slashing .233/.298/.475. It was a step in the right direction for Stanton after a tough 2023 season.

New York has been able to shine despite the injuries the team has navigated around. Stanton's eventual return will help to take this lineup to another level. Unfortunately, it's still not clear when a return could end up happening.
For his career, Stanton has 429 total home runs. He's 71 homers away from reaching 500 for his career and is 35 years old. He's within range of 500 homers and New York needs his power. Will he get back in the batter's box in the not-so-distant future?
