Carlos Rodon isn't done. There are still playoff games to pitch in for the New York Yankees.
But his regular season campaign in pinstripes concluded on Thursday, and he made franchise history.
Rodon concludes his season with 203 strikeouts and 132 hits allowed.
He's the first pitcher in Yankees history to have a season with at least 200 strikeouts and fewer than 140 hits allowed, according to Baseball Reference's Katie Sharp.
It's a great example of the fact that Rodon was available and contributed each and every turn through the rotation.
Rodon has an 18-9 record to end the year.
The 32-year old lefty put up a 3.09 ERA, one of the best marks of his career.
Rodon ends up tied for the MLB lead in games started with 33, which is pretty much the maximum any player will end up with in this day and age.
The southpaw has improved in each of his three seasons in the Bronx. He had a 6.85 ERA in 2023, dropped it to 3.96 in 2024 and got it down to 3.09 this season.
The Yankees will now be hoping he can take that into the postseason. And if he can, it could let the Yanks make some serious noise.
Max Fried has been as advertised atop the rotation, and with Rodon behind him, it's a dynamic duo of lefties getting the job done.
