The New York Yankees came into Game 4 of the ALDS with their backs against the wall. It was a win-or-go-home scenario with the Toronto Blue Jays up 2-1 in the five-game series.

Unfortunately, the Bronx Bombers struggled offensively as the Blue Jays made this a bullpen game. They went with seven different pitchers on Wednesday, holding the Yankees to just two runs.

Toronto was able to push across five runs, winning Game 4 and moving on to the ALCS. For the Yankees, it is time for them to start thinking about next year.

Yankees' Aaron Judge reflects on ALDS exit: 'We didn't do our job'

There is no denying that this Yankees' loss stings. Superstar Aaron Judge reflected on the tough loss and end to the season via MLB.com's Bryan Hoch

"We didn't do our job; didn't finish the goal," said Judge. "We had a special group in here, a lot of special players that made this year fun. But we didn't get the ultimate prize, so we came up short."

The Yankees' inconsistent pitching did them no favors. They finished the series with a combined 8.47 ERA, and that will be a focus of the offseason.

Judge, on the other hand,  did play well, but it was not enough to help his team reach the next level. He ended the series hitting .600 with a 1.617 OPS.

It will be a long offseason for the Yankees and their fan base. They will do their best to regroup and make some upgrades during the offseason to come out as a stronger team next season.
