With his team looking elimination from the postseason right in the face, Jazz Chisholm Jr. made up for not getting the starting nod from Yankees manager Aaron Boone in the first game of the Wild Card series against the Boston Red Sox

With a diving catch to prevent the go-ahead run from scoring and then scoring that go-ahead run himself from first base on a single by catcher Austin Wells, Chisholm continued to prove why he deserves the spot in the lineup that he does, and forced a Game 3 between the rivals.

And Yankees captain Aaron Judge knows exactly what the infielder is capable of.

Judge Praised Chisholm's Maturity

In a postgame interview with the reigning AL MVP, Judge highlighted the former Marlin's maturity and how he was able to channel the anger he showed Tuesday night into production just 24 hours later.

“What do you expect? The guy is a game-changer,” Judge said. “It just shows you the maturity, to take what happened the day before and bring it into today’s game. He showed up ready to play today and ended up having the biggest plays for us throughout the night.”

This is exactly why the MLB season is 162 games long, because a long stretch of games tells more about a team and a player rather than a single game or a short series such as the Wild Card series, which is only three games.

That being said, this is also why the postseason rewards those that catch speed quick and early, all the way up to the Fall Classic at the end of October.

And how did Chisholm channel his anger from Tuesday night?

“I played 'MLB The Show' and I mercy-ruled someone. That’s how I get my stress off,” Chisholm said.
