The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in the World Series last year, and in the offseason, the Dodgers trash-talked the Yankees.

Los Angeles’ pitcher Joe Kelly said the World Series was a mismatch from the get-go, while other players called out the Yankees’ defense and claimed they were never that good.

Since then, Dodgers’ players haven’t backed down from it, and on May 28, Aaron Judge responded to it and said he didn’t pay much attention to it.

“You’re really not trying to look much into it,” Judge said. “I feel like their big-time players that played every day or played in the games, they really didn’t say too much. It was a lot of the guys who really didn’t do much. So I didn’t pay too much attention to it. They can say what they want. When it comes down to it, we didn’t win. If you win, you can say what you want. We didn’t win. We kind of just got to take it on the chin and prepare yourself for the next season.”

Judge and the Yankees are now just focused on this season and looking to get back to the World Series, but this time win it.

But, as Judge says, the Dodgers have every right to trash talk, given they won the World Series and the Yankees didn’t.

This season, Judge is hitting .391 with 18 home runs and 47 RBIs and is a key reason why New York is atop the AL East and one of the top teams in the MLB.
