What a difference 24 hours, and a bit of time playing a video game, can make.

On Tuesday night, Jazz Chisholm Jr. was bummed. He hadn't gotten the start in the New York Yankees' postseason opener, and after the loss, he did his entire postgame interview with his back turned to reporters.

On Wednesday night, Chisholm was racing from first base to home plate in less than 10 seconds to score the Yankees' winning run over the Boston Red Sox to force a decisive third game in the AL Wild Card series.

This time, when he spoke to reporters, Chisholm revealed how he had gotten over his bad mood: MLB The Show.

After Tuesday's game, Chisholm said, he played with his video game team that includes himself, Ken Griffey Jr., and Jimmy Rollins. And he mercy-ruled his opponent.

"That's how I get my stress off," Chisholm said.

Apparently it worked.

The Yankees need Chisholm at his best. He's one of the most talented players in the sport, capable of doing pretty much anything on the diamond.

And it's a good thing Chisholm has a way to let his stress out. It means that by the time he gets to Yankee Stadium, he's ready to go.

The Yankees will need that once again Thursday as they try to advance past the Red Sox. Boone has already said Chisholm will be in the lineup.
