It was a very exciting night for New York Yankees fans and Aaron Judge, who won his third Most Valuable Player Award in the American League.

It's possible that Judge should have four throughout his career if it weren’t for Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros cheating back in the day.

Nonetheless, three Most Valuable Player Awards aren't anything to sniff at, as Judge is arguably the best player in Major League Baseball, and at worst, the second best.

When speaking about what the award means to him, and not that he isn't grateful or happy for it, but Judge has his eyes set on other things.

This was a warning and a message to the Yankees, as he's looking to win a World Series, and the personal accolades don't mean a whole lot to him anymore.

“I would trade every award and All-Star Game appearance to win one championship,” Judge said, according to Bob Klapisch of NJ.com. “Hopefully, next year will be the year. It’s my main focus. It’s why I’m trying to finish the job.”

Can Yankees win in 2026?

Everyone already knows the type of competitor that Judge is on all fronts.

If there's a player in Major League Baseball who wants to win, it's none other than the captain of the Yankees.

Judge will have an opportunity to continue to try to win in the future, but he’ll have to hope that a few bounces go his way moving forward.

The Yankees seem to be in a good spot to win the American League next year, possibly, but it’ll take the team effort to get the job done.
