The New York Yankees have found themselves in an 0-2 hole to the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALDS, but now they're back home at Yankee Stadium.
The Yankees may be facing elimination, but they have two games at home to try to even the series before a Game 5, if necessary, would return to Toronto.
However, something has to change for New York if it expects to extend the ALDS. The Blue Jays came out swinging and have destroyed the Yankees through two games, scoring 23 runs and outscoring the Yankees by 15 runs.
Aaron Judge Sends Confident Message
Despite the Yankees getting launched out of the ballpark through the first two games of the ALDS, star outfielder Aaron Judge remains confident in the group.
"We've been doing it all year long," Judge said (h/t MLB.com). "We've had our backs up against the wall and been in some tough spots. In the Wild Card Series, we lost the first one and played two elimination games. It's kind of what we did even at the end of the year."
Judge is right. The Yankees went on a run at the end of the regular season to separate themselves in the wild card race and nearly overtake the Blue Jays in the AL East.
"It's a huge test for the Yankees, and it's a huge test for Aaron Judge."

Then, New York lost Game 1 of the wild card series against the Boston Red Sox and stormed back to take Games 2 and 3. However, now the Yankees have their toughest test yet.
"I even go back to my rookie year in ’17, we had a Wild Card Game and go to Cleveland, lose those first two against them," Judge said of that ALDS (h/t MLB.com). "They were division champs that year, too, just coming off an appearance in the World Series. We came out on the other side."
In 2017, the Yankees turned things around at Yankee Stadium and won three straight against Cleveland to advance to the ALCS.
The @BlueJays in the 2025 postseason:

Hitters - 8 HR, 7 Ks
Pitchers - 1 HR, 21 Ks
No other MLB team in the modern era (since 1901) has had that many HR hit & Ks thrown with so few batting strikeouts and HR allowed over a two-game span in the regular season or postseason. pic.twitter.com/PqoAhxvdgS
The Yankees may be down 2-0 in the ALDS to the Blue Jays and be on the brink of elimination, but that's not new for New York. However, that doesn't mean it makes it any easier.
"Get back to playing our brand of baseball, put the pressure on them," Judge said (h/t MLB.com). "And anything can happen."
The Yankees and Blue Jays continue their series on Tuesday night at 8:08 p.m.
