Juan Soto signed a mega contract about a year ago that'll earn him $750 million.

Why not leave the New York Mets after a year to go be a position coach in college football?

Well, that's not happening, just to get that out of the way.

But fans are having a good time with a recent hire whose name is also Juan Soto.

East Carolina has hired a guy with that name to be its new wide receivers coach. It's not the Mets superstar, but the news announcement by ESPN's Pete Thamel has more than one million views on X because of the name overlap.

Fans also had fun with some image generation.

The football Soto is from Miami and attended Saginaw Valley State and then Kent State for college.

He has since been a high school and lower-college position coach before spending time coaching at Kent State, Yale, Wagner and North Texas.

Now, he moves to ECU to join the Pirates.

Maybe he and the slugging Soto need to get together for a picture sometime. Because you know what they say: Two Juan Sotos is better than one.
