New York Mets fans may not have even realized they had this pedigree in their organization.

Well, had it.

This week, the Mets released Vladi Guerrero.

Yes, he's a son of Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero.

Vladi is an outfielder. He signed with the Mets' organization in January 2024 for a signing bonus of $117,000.

The news was reported by insider Hector Gomez.

Vladi is 19 years old and listed at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds.

He has played two seasons for the Mets' team in the Dominican Summer League and struggled.

Across 72 games in two seasons, Vladi has hit.210 with a miserable.285 slugging percentage.

In the two seasons, Vladi had a total of seven doubles, three triples and one home run.

Maybe the only bright spot on his stat sheet was being 6-for-6 stealing bases.

If Vladi wants to continue his baseball career, it'll have to happen in a new organization.
