The New York Mets are still fighting to secure their postseason berth. They currently hold a one-game lead over the Cincinnati Reds for the final National League Wild Card spot with one series left to go.

The Mets must play at their best for their final three games. They face the Miami Marlins, while the Reds have a much tougher opponent in the Milwaukee Brewers

With such an important series coming up, New York is thinking about calling up a prospect to come and help stabilize the bullpen. According to the New York Post's Mike Puma, Dylan Ross could be called up on Saturday.

The Mets are considering calling up Dylan Ross for bullpen help over the weekend

Dylan Ross could prove to be a big help for the Mets. He has been pitching well in the minors, holding together a 2.17 ERA across 49 appearances. And according to Puma, he has been training in Florida since his minor-league season came to an end this week.

"If Ross is called up, it's likely he would be considered for mid-leverage situations, with seventh-inning duty as a possibility," said Puma. "Ross could also be in play for the NL wild-card roster if the Mets clinch a spot."

Not only could Ross be a presence in the bullpen this weekend, but he could also be in play for making the roster in the postseason. That would be quite the start of his MLB career if he were to be called up this weekend and stay on through the postseason.
