Not much went right for the Minnesota Twins during the 2025 season. They ended up trading 10 players ahead of the deadline, causing them to finish 70-92.

They weren't expected to do much this offseason, so fans were quite surprised when the team recently came to terms with both Victor Caratini and Taylor Rogers.

The rest of the offseason could very well end with just these moves. However, they still have a month until Spring Training begins, so they still have time to add players and make moves.

This is by far not the perfect offseason for Minnesota. They still have holes to fill, but Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer believes more bullpen depth and listening to offers for their star players could put this club in a much better position.

"Even after [Taylor Roger's] arrival, though, another reliever would be nice. Though the Twins have publicly refuted the idea of trading Byron Buxton, Joe Ryan, or Pablo Lopez, now's the time to keep an ear out for Godfather offers. All it takes is one desperate team to completely change a calculus like theirs."

Another reliever to help bolster the bullpen wouldn't hurt, and neither would opening up to the idea of trading away someone like Joe Ryan, Pablo Lopez, or Byron Buxton.

With the few free agents still left on the open market, some teams could get desperate here in the next few days/weeks. They could offer Minnesota something they could not refuse, bolstering their farm system during a year they are not expected to contend.

While losing a star player would hurt, getting clearer direction on the team's future could be well worth it if the front office decides they are not handcuffed to either three.
