The Minnesota Twins have a big decision to make before Friday's non-tender deadline.

For players eligible for arbitration, teams have to decide whether they intend to offer a player a contract by Friday. If they don't, that player becomes a free agent.

The Twins' most notable name in this scenario is Trevor Larnach, who is listed on the MLB Trade Rumors list of non-tender candidates.

The former top-100 prospect is projected for a $4.7 million salary in arbitration if he and the Twins get to that point.

They could also decide now is the time to move on from Larnach, who hasn't been terrible but also hasn't quite lived up to his hype.

In 2025, Larnach batted.250 with 24 doubles, 17 homers and 60 RBI in 142 games.

He was worth exactly 0.1 Wins Above Replacement while putting up an OPS of.727 that was.001 above his career average.

At this point, Larnach is what he is.

He's not a good defender, so that leaves him holding down the DH role, too, which doesn't add any value.

If the Twins feel they don't mind what Larnach's salary will turn out to be in arbitration, they don't have a great reason to get rid of him. But there also aren't tons of compelling reasons to keep him.

In the next 48 hours or so, Larnach's immediate future with the Twins should be determined.
