Sal Frelick's height draws attention to Brewers centerfielder image

One of the most endearing parts of baseball is the way that stars on the diamond can truly come in all shapes and sizes.

Tall or short, fat or skinny, none of it matters as much as the coordination and baseball skills of a given ballplayer.

Sal Frelick of the Milwaukee Brewers is certainly part of that club. He's not a guy who's going to intimidate getting off the bus.

But Frelick gets the job done and is a big piece of the Brewers' successes this season.

During the regular season, Frelick set career highs with a .288 batting average, 12 home runs, 63 RBI, 19 stolen bases and a .756 OPS while playing strong outfield defense.

He was in the spotlight of Monday's NLCS game against the Dodgers for his role in the double play that made it to the centerfield fence before some chaos ensued.

For the Brewers to make it back from their 1-0 deficit to the Dodgers, Frelick will be a big key.

How tall is Sal Frelick?

Sal Frelick is officially listed at 5-foot-8.

His official weight is 188 pounds.

He's not the shortest player in MLB. Jose Altuve of the Houston Astros is the most prominent guy who is shorter, at 5-foot-6.

Frelick isn't even the shortest Brewers player. His teammate, infielder Caleb Durbin, is 5-foot-7.

The Brewers also have two giants, the 6-foot-8 reliever Trevor Megill and the 6-foot-7 flamethrower Jacob misiorowski.

Any shape and size indeed.
