After a crushing loss in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, the Milwaukee Brewers came out swinging in Game 2. Outfielder Jackson Chourio wasted no time getting his team on the board, launching a leadoff home run off Los Angeles Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto to give Milwaukee an early 1-0 lead.

In his short postseason career, Chourio has been nothing short of sensational. Through 10 playoff games, the 21-year-old phenom is hitting over .375 with 13 hits, four home runs and 11 RBIs. This postseason alone, he’s 8-for-22 with eight RBIs and four extra-base hits, quickly establishing himself as one of the Brewers’ most reliable offensive weapons.

Despite the fast start, Milwaukee’s lead didn’t last long. Teoscar Hernández answered for Los Angeles in the top of the second inning with a solo shot to left field. Moments later, Andy Pages added an RBI double to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom half of the inning.

For Milwaukee, offensive consistency remains the biggest concern. Entering Tuesday’s matchup, the Brewers had scored three runs or fewer in four straight postseason games, including one shutout. Over that span, they’ve totaled just five runs, a surprising slump for a club that ranked fourth in MLB in runs per game during the regular season.

As Game 2 continues, the Brewers will need more production from the heart of their lineup to avoid falling behind 2-0 in the best-of-seven series before heading to Los Angeles for Games 3, 4 and 5 at Dodger Stadium.
