Brewers urged to land an impact bat to save their offseason image

The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off a solid 2025 season. They finished the regular season with a 97-65 record, winning the NL Central and making the postseason.

They would go on to face off against the Chicago Cubs in the NLDS, beating them in a 3-2 series before being bested by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS.

With a strong core returning, Milwaukee has not made many additions to its roster. One of the club's only free-agent signings was bringing in Akil Baddoo on a one-year deal, and the fanbase is starting to worry.

Brewers urged to land an impact bat to save their offseason

The Brewers have been one of the most consistent teams over the last few years. They have taken control of the NL Central and would like to be the division leaders for the fourth time in a row when the regular season comes to an end next season.

To do this, they may have to bring in another impactful offensive player. Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer makes the case that the club should zero in on Eugenio Suarez or Ketel Marte.

"What would really help quell them is if the Brewers went out and got a power bat. A splurge on Eugenio Suarez in free agency could be possible, and they shouldn't be counted out on a trade for Ketel Marte either."

Suarez may be an easier player to acquire, as he would only cost Milwaukee money. However, Marte is coming off a season where he hit.283 with 28 home runs and could slot in the middle of the order for the Brew Crew.

Someone like Wilyer Abreu or Jarren Duran could also be at play for Milwaukee. Both would fit in well with the Brewers and could be acquired through a strategic trade.
