Brewers' Pat Murphy sheds light into Jackson Chourio's hamstring injury image

The Milwaukee Brewers have a clear star on their hands in Jackson Chourio. He has become one of the team's most important pieces on offense. Milwaukee carries a 2-0 lead over the Chicago Cubs in the NLDS, but they aren't completely out of the woods yet with the series shifting back to Chicago on Wednesday.

Chourio is 10-18 in his first five postseason games, and has become one of the clutch players for the Brewers when they need a big hit.

However, he missed almost all of September with a hamstring injury, and that injury may have flared up again in game two against the Cubs.

Chourio is still in Wednesday's lineup, but his hamstring may be a concern

After being pulled from Monday's blowout win, Brewers manager Pat Murphy addressed the media about Chourio's hamstring, which he felt tightened up a bit on Monday.

Per MLB.com's Adam McCalvy, here is what Murphy had to say:

“He felt it again,” Murphy said. “We'll treat him today, hopefully he'll have a light day, and hopefully he'll be good to go.”

“Like every other 21-year-old, he has his insecurities and he has his things that maybe get him derailed,” Murphy said, per McCalvy. “But just in him, his expectations of himself on the baseball field and what he thinks he can do, it's remarkable."

Despite the injury concern, Chourio is still in Milwaukee's game three lineup, in his usual second spot. Chicago will bring Jameson Taillon to the mound, while the Brewers will opt to go with breakout starter Quinn Priester.
