The Milwaukee Brewers have been fielding trade calls on their ace, Freddy Peralta, this offseason, and those calls haven't slowed down.
After a week of free-agent frenzy involving the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, and many other teams, the market for Peralta is coming back into focus.
Jon Heyman of The New York Post revealed the updated landscape for a Peralta trade and the teams in his market. Unsurprisingly, a lot of the top contenders are going after Peralta.
Brewers trade update on Freddy Peralta features a massive contingent of interested teams
"Brewers continue to field offers on ace pitcher Freddy Peralta, a free agent after 2026," Heyman reports, "Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, Gants and Braves among many, many interested teams."
The Brewers are getting a lot of interest in Peralta. The right-hander is getting paid $8 million in 2026, making him one of the more affordable pitchers to acquire this winter.
He's coming off a strong 2025 campaign in Milwaukee. He had a 2.70 ERA with 5.5 bWAR and an MLB-best 17 wins. Peralta was also an All-Star for the second time in his career.

There are plenty of interested teams this offseason in Peralta, with the Mets, Dodgers, and New York Yankees leading the charge.
While the Dodgers and Yankees might not need him that much, the Mets, San Francisco Giants, and Atlanta Braves make more sense for the righty this winter than most other clubs.
But, Heyman's report also alludes to other clubs showing an interest in Peralta. It's not just these teams showing interest, but many across the Major Leagues.
The Brewers will surely land a solid return if they do decide to trade Peralta, and with how aggressive teams have been this winter, it wouldn't be a bad idea to ship Peralta off to another team to land a strong return.
