The Los Angeles Dodgers will welcome the Cincinnati Reds to Dodger Stadium on Tuesday night to kick off L.A.'s 2025 postseason.

The Dodgers are the No. 3 seed in the National League while the Reds are the No. 6 seed, and all three wild card games will be played in Los Angeles.

There will be stars all around the diamond this postseason, but none bigger than the Dodgers' two-way star Shohei Ohtani.

Is Shohei Ohtani pitching tonight?

The Dodgers released their starting pitchers for the wild card series on Monday morning, and Ohtani will not be on the mound for Game 1.

Los Angeles will have Blake Snell pitch Game 1, Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitch Game 2 and Ohtani start Game 3, if necessary, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale. If the series doesn't go to Game 3, Ohtani would pitch Game 1 of the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Snell has been lights out for the Dodgers in his 11 starts back from injury in 2025. The former Cy Young award winner has a 2.35 ERA across 61.1 innings pitched and has 72 strikeouts.

Yamamoto has been the Dodgers' workhorse ace all year long. The All-Star starter will get the ball in Game 2 after producing a 2.49 ERA over 173.2 innings, with 201 strikeouts in the regular season.

If the Dodgers are forced to play a Game 3, that's when Ohtani will take the mound. Since the two-way star has been back on the mound this year, he has a 2.87 ERA across 47 innings, with 62 strikeouts.

However, fans won't have to wait until a potential Game 3 to see the exciting star. Ohtani will certainly be in the Dodgers' lineup in the first two games of the wild card series.
