The Los Angeles Dodgers’ remarkable postseason run continues. Since 2020, the Dodgers have captured two World Series titles, including last year’s championship, and now find themselves atop the National League once again, awaiting their opponent in the 2025 World Series.

Los Angeles eliminated the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night, completing a four-game sweep against the team that finished with the league’s best regular-season record. Shohei Ohtani led the way for the Dodgers, dominating both on the mound and at the plate.

As a pitcher, Ohtani tossed six shutout innings, allowing just two hits while striking out 10. As a hitter, he was even more impressive, launching three home runs and drawing a walk.

The Dodgers’ starting rotation has been nearly flawless throughout the series. Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow, Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto all delivered strong performances, holding Milwaukee’s offense in check from start to finish. The Brewers failed to record more than five hits in any game and did not score more than one run in any of the four contests.

Now, Los Angeles will turn its attention to the World Series as it seeks back-to-back championships. The Dodgers won last year’s title with little resistance, defeating the New York Yankees in five games.

Los Angeles will have several days to rest before the World Series begins Friday, Oct. 24. The Dodgers would hold home-field advantage if the Seattle Mariners defeat the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League Championship Series. If Toronto prevails, Los Angeles will open the Fall Classic on the road.
