How Dodgers can put together strongest trade offer for Brewers' Freddy Peralta image

The Los Angeles Dodgers are always going to be in on the top available players, whether it's in free agency or in the trade market.

Their connection to Freddy Peralta might not make the most sense, with an already stacked rotation. But if the Dodgers have injury concerns or simply want more depth, then the Milwaukee Brewers' ace makes a lot of sense for a one-year rental.

And fortunately for the Dodgers, as Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon of The Athletic point out, they have one of, if not the best, potential offers for the Brewers amid their trade demands for the two-time All-Star pitcher.

Dodgers can match best offers for Freddy Peralta

"If the Milwaukee Brewers are going to trade All-Star right-hander Freddy Peralta, they ideally will want the return to include a young, major-league ready replacement," Rosenthal and Sammon write.

With the Brewers seeking young pitchers who are ready to enter the Major Leagues, there might not be a better fit than the Dodgers.

Gavin Stone, Emmett Sheehan, and River Ryan all could be options for the Brewers to acquire in a Peralta trade.

With the Dodgers potentially landing a top pitcher like Peralta, they would likely be willing to move on from one of those young pitchers, since there wouldn't be much room in the Majors.

This trade for the Dodgers wouldn't be a necessary one to contend for a World Series again, but it could further add to their strong rotation, which, as seen last season, could always use a boost.

From the Brewers' perspective, any of these three starters would be very appealing and could justify moving on from Peralta this offseason.

The New York Mets are the most likely landing spot thanks to their young pitching, likely drawing more interest from the Brewers.

But if the Dodgers really wanted Peralta, their offer could likely beat out any other club in the Major Leagues. But, with the Dodgers likely looking to upgrade the outfield, Peralta might not be in the cards for Los Angeles.
