Dodgers' Teoscar Hernández return to Toronto among biggest World Series storylines image

The Los Angeles Dodgers have received heroic contributions from Teoscar Hernández in both the regular season and MLB postseason in each of the past two seasons.

As the Dodgers are set to take on the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2025 World Series, it also serves as a return series for Hernández, who spent five seasons with the Blue Jays, where he really made a name for himself as a star slugger in baseball.

Teoscar Hernández's tenure with the Blue Jays

From 2017 to 2022, current Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández was a Toronto Blue Jay.

He was named to the All-Star team in 2021 for the first time in his career.

Teoscar was sent over to the Blue Jays in 2017 from the Houston Astros, and that's when his baseball career really took off. In 609 games with Toronto, Hernández smashed 129 home runs, hit.263, and posted an OPS+ of 122.

One of the bigger storylines to follow as this World Series kicks off is how Hernández will play against his former team. He clearly enjoys hitting at Rogers Centre, as he hit more than 25 home runs in three of his seasons with Toronto.

For the Dodgers, Hernández has come up time and time again in the Los Angeles batting order. Despite a sharp fall off in his defensive play, Teoscar can make up for it with his ability to hit tape-measure blasts when he's up to bat.

In two seasons with the Dodgers, he has 58 home runs, 188 RBIs, and an OPS+ of 120.
