Dodgers reveal starting rotation plans in NLDS vs. Phillies image

The National League Division Series is set between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies in a series that is loaded with star power. It's been 16 years since the last time these two squared off in October.

Game one is set for 6:30 P.M. on Saturday, and on Friday, manager Dave Roberts clarified how the Dodgers' starting rotation would look this series.

Shohei Ohtani gets game one: Who follows?

Dave Roberts had his full media availability yesterday, where he announced that Clayton Kershaw will be used entirely in a relief role, and he also revealed the Dodgers' starting rotation for the first handful of games in this series with the Phillies.

Game one belongs to Shohei Ohtani. They lined it perfectly so that he didn't have to be used in the wild card series, and now he's rested and a full-go to start for the Dodgers in the always crucial game one.

Game two will belong to Blake Snell, who twirled a gem in the first game against the Reds. Game three belongs to Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who is one of the best starters in baseball at the moment. Tyler Glasnow is the set starter for game four, but Roberts mentioned he could be used in game one as well, out of the bullpen.

None of the Dodgers' starters will be pitching on short rest. Los Angeles has experienced rotation problems in previous seasons, including last year, when they ultimately won the Fall Classic. However, this year is potentially their best playoff rotation in franchise history.
