It's not long ago that Alec Gamboa was on the doorstep of the major leagues in the Los Angeles Dodgers' organization.
But now, he's halfway around the world, pitching in the Korea Baseball Organization. And he was involved in one of the rarest plays in baseball.
Gamboa, a lefty pitcher, was on the mound for the Lotte Giants in a game against the Samsung Lions.
The bases were loaded for Samsung.
The Lions noticed that Gamboa took a long time in his stretch to come set while rarely paying attention to the base runners.
So the runner on third base, Lee Seong-kyu, sprinted home. The catcher tried to alert Gamboa, but to no avail.
Kim Ji-Chan and Lee Jae-hyeon followed up to make it a triple steal.

Reports out of Korea indicate it's the ninth triple steal in KBO history.
But man, that's a play you pretty much never see.
Gamboa is probably gonna want to do something about that stretch setup, or this won't be the last team that runs wild on him.
