Magic Johnson's social media posts don't quite match his passing.
The Los Angeles Lakers' legendary point guard, and current part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has a way with words on X (formerly Twitter) that has always amused sports fans.
Maybe one of his best posts was fired off on Wednesday, a handful of hours before Game 5 of the World Series.
This is what Johnson wrote:
With the Series being 2-2, Game 5 is very important. Whichever team wins takes control of the Series!

If you're not familiar with Johnson's posts, they pretty much all have that kind of a vibe.
They usually state the obvious, and they're very businesslike and straightforward.
Johnson has 5.1 million followers on X, and as of 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday, the above post had been seen on X by more than one million people.
Magic is an entertaining speaker, so it's particularly amusing that his posts on social media are quite lacking in the pizzazz department.
The Dodgers will likely want to take a business-like approach to Game 5, anyway. They don't need to be flashy. They just need to win.
After all, a win takes control of the World Series.
