Dodgers' Mookie Betts makes GOAT comparison for Shohei Ohtani after incredible NLCS performance image

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-1, in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series to clinch their second straight trip the World Series on Friday night.

The Dodgers did so behind stellar pitching once again and big hits at the right time to complete the sweep of the Brewers.

Dodgers' two-way star Shohei Ohtani led the way in Game 4 with three home runs, while also delivering six shutout innings on the mound with 10 strikeouts.

Mookie Betts gives Shohei Ohtani GOAT comparison

After Ohtani led the Dodgers to their World Series clinching Game 4 victory, and was named NLCS MVP, Dodgers' star shortstop Mookie Betts gave him quite the praise with this comparison.

"I've said it multiple times, we're like the Bulls, and he's Michael Jordan," Betts said. "Whenever he goes, we're all going to go. You see it today, and I'm just happy he's on our team."

The Chicago Bulls won the NBA Championship six times in eight years between 1991 and 1998, and made it to the Eastern Conference Finals eight times in a 10-year span.

With a spot in the 2025 World Series clinched, the Dodgers will look to win their third World Series in the last six years, and they've been in the NLCS seven times in the last ten years.

Ohtani is certainly the Dodgers' star, signing a 10-year, $700 million contract in 2024. The two-way star didn't start the NLCS on fire offensively, but had a historic night in Game 4.

Now, the Dodgers are four wins away from their second straight World Series.

"We still got another series to play, so we can't get too far ahead of ourselves," Betts said. "But it's special just to go back to back. It's special just to have this trip at least."

The Dodgers will await the winner of the ALCS to see who they'll face in the World Series, but in the meantime, they know they're one step away from accomplishing their season long goals.

"In spring training we knew we were capable of accomplishing the goal of winning another World Series," Betts said. "How we got there? You never know. You never really know. But, we knew we were going to do it, and now we're one step away."
