The Los Angeles Dodgers are officially pulling the plug on Andy Pages following the outfielder's lackluster production at the plate this postseason. The Dodgers announced their World Series Game 5 lineup, and it had massive adjustments in it.

Pages, who has gone 4-for-50 with no walks, one double, one RBI and a.215 OPS in 14 postseason games, is being benched for Game 5 against the Toronto Blue Jays. In his place, Alex Call gets to start at left field. Teoscar Hernandez will cover the right field and Kike Hernandez will take the position in center.

Despite being benched, Pages might still earn an appearance if someone in the outfield gets injured or as a pinch-hitter. With the series tied 2-2, the Dodgers are not leaving things to chance as they see Game 5 as an important game to win before the series heads back to Toronto.

Dodgers demote Mookie Betts in batting lineup

Another notable change the Dodgers made in their lineup was moving former MVP Mookie Betts down by one spot. With the Toronto Blue Jays intentionally walking Shohei Ohtani in high-leverage situations, Betts hasn't lived up to the expectations of making them pay for it.

Manager Dave Roberts has demoted Betts to third in the lineup and Game 4 walk-off home run hero Freddie Freeman will play in the clean-up spot. Catcher Will Smith gets to hit behind Ohtani in the second spot.

The Dodgers have made these changes, keeping in mind that they will be up against Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage. The Blue Jays' starting pitcher made the start in World Series Game 1, which the Dodgers lost 11-4. In that slugfest, Yesavage pitched four innings for two earned runs.
