Dodgers announce Tanner Scott has been removed from NLDS roster image

The Los Angeles Dodgers currently hold a 2-1 lead over the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS. The Phillies rebounded in Wednesday's game after dropping the first two games of the series. Game four's first pitch is set for 6:08 P.M. EST, and features a pitching matchup between Tyler Glasnow and Christopher Sanchez.

Before Thursday's game, it was announced that Dodgers' reliever Tanner Scott had been removed from the NLDS roster with an injury.

The Dodgers are removing Tanner Scott from the NLDS roster; Activating Justin Wrobleski

The Dodgers announced today that Tanner Scott is being deactivated from the team's playoff roster for this series and potentially the next.

Fabian Ardaya reports that Scott had a lower-body abscess procedure. He started showing signs during a workout day and has not pitched since. There were questions raised as to why the Dodgers hadn't opted to use Scott in this series against the Phillies.

He will remain off the roster for this series and is now ineligible to pitch for LA in the NLCS if they were to make it that far. Manager Dave Roberts did not rule him out for pitching in the World Series.

Justin Wrobleski will now take over for Scott, as we hope the lower body procedure wasn't too serious for Tanner.

Roberts also indicates that Scott is recovering well.

If the Dodgers drop tonight's contest against Philadelphia, the series will head to Citizens Bank Park for Game five on Saturday.
