Dodgers add 3.43 ERA lefty strikeout artist to roster with latest move image

It was a busy Tuesday in MLB with teams all across the league figuring out how to arrange their 40-man rosters before the upcoming Rule 5 Draft.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, amid the chaos, made just one move.

They added the contract of left-handed pitcher Ronan Kopp to their 40-man roster.

Kopp is a 23-year old relief pitcher originally from Arizona.

He spent the 2025 season split between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City.

In total, Kopp put up a 3.43 ERA in 57.2 innings pitching.

Kopp struck out 36% of the hitters he faced but walked guys at about half that rate, too. So his stuff checks out as strong but a tad erratic.

The Dodgers' decision to add Kopp to the 40-man roster means he can't be selected by another team in the Rule 5 Draft.

That also likely means the Dodgers view Kopp as a possibility to make it to the major leagues in 2026.

The bullpen was a problem for L.A. In 2025, and it's something the Dodgers will likely spend money this offseason to try and fix.

But if they can start to solve it through their own system, that'd be a nice bonus, too, and Kopp will hope to be a guy who can make that happen.
