The Los Angeles Dodgers officially have a path to landing one of the best pure hitters in baseball.

Bo Bichette, who was on the Blue Jays team that lost to the Dodgers in the World Series, appears to be embracing a new outlook on his free agency.

Bichette has been a shortstop his whole career, but the consensus is that he'll eventually have to move off of that position.

MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reported in a new article that Bichette is now willing to view himself as a second baseman for his new contract.

Feinsand added that Bichette's outlook now enters the Dodgers into the equation.

The Dodgers have a shortstop, Mookie Betts, the convert from right field who turned himself into a Gold Glover.

They could use a star second baseman, though.

Bichette had a bounceback 2025, and in three of the past four seasons has been one of the best couple base-hitters in the American League.

He missed most of September before coming back to play in the World Series on a bad knee, and he still looked solid enough at second base while also delivering a massive home run.

It'd feel almost cruel to Toronto to see Bichette leave for Hollywood, but it appears to be firmly on the table now.

Feinsand lists the Red Sox, Giants, Mariners and Rangers as teams now in the mix with Bichette open to playing second base.

You can never count out the Dodgers, though.
