A veteran reliever won't have to go far for his next MLB home.
From the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2025 to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2026.
That's the news we learned on Tuesday night, when the Angels announced they have signed Kirby Yates to a one-year contract.

Yates spent just the 2025 season with the Dodgers. He had a 5.23 ERA in 50 appearances.
He has previously pitched for the Rays, Yankees, Angels, Padres, Braves and Rangers.
His prior Angels stint was literally one game in the 2017 season, when he allowed two runs in a single inning of work.
He's a two-time All Star, having made it in 2019 with the Padres (1.19 ERA in 60 games) and 2024 with the Rangers (1.17 ERA in 61 games).
Yates has a career 3.36 ERA with 12.4 strikeouts per nine innings.
He'll be 39 years old on March 25. He's originally from Hawaii.
Now, he'll keep his MLB career going with the Angels.
