The Colorado Rockies continue to look for upgrades.

And when you're coming off a season as rough as Colorado's, anyone can look like an upgrade.

They signed a new guy on Sunday: Vimael Machin.

Machin's signing was reported by ESPN's Jorge Castillo.

Machin is set to get a minor-league contract with an invitation to big league spring training.

A season ago, Machin appeared in four games with the Baltimore Orioles.

At Triple-A Norfolk, Machin batted.286 with 18 home runs and an.823 OPS.

Machin is 32 years old. He's originally a 10th-round pick by the Chicago Cubs out of VCU in 2015.

He played in parts of three MLB seasons with the Oakland Athletics in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

He didn't make it to the show at all in 2023 or 2024.

He was 1-for-11 in 2025 for the Orioles.

Overall in his MLB career, Machin is a.204 hitter with 14 doubles, two home runs and a stolen base in 116 games played.
