Report: Guardians' Steven Kwan labeled as trade candidate in latest rumors image

The frustrating relationship between the Cleveland Guardians and two-time All-Star outfielder Steven Kwan is continuing to melt with recent news.

Kwan, 28, has been one of the Guardians' key players in their success in recent years. Multiple All-Star appearances in 2024 and 2025, along with four consecutive Gold Glove Awards to start his career, he's emerged as one of the best outfielders in baseball.

So what could be the problem? With two more seasons under club control, the young outfielder is still looked at as a trade asset for the Guardians to put together a package for some future talent.

Kwan remains a Dodgers trade possibility, per Nightengale

Labeled as one of the best in the league in his defensive and on-base abilities, USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported that Steven Kwan is one player who's still labeled as a trade candidate during the MLB offseason. He is on the Los Angeles Dodgers' radar, more specifically.

"They nearly traded him (Kwan) to the Dodgers at the trade deadline and Los Angeles will come calling again. The price-tag will be high, but the Dodgers certainly have the prospect capital," The MLB insider wrote in an article.

In the 2025 season, Kwan's batting statistics took a slight dip. Through 156 games, he finished with a.272 batting average,.330 on-base percentage,.374 slugging rate, and a.705 OPS while hitting 11 home runs and 56 RBI.

With the Dodgers now looking to go for three straight World Series titles, they may be ready to put all their chips on the table to land one of the best outfielders in the MLB.
