Guardians' Steven Kwan enters rarefied air after recent Gold Glove announcements image

Major League Baseball announced on Sunday the official winners of the Rawlings Gold Glove at every position on the diamond. 

This is the first wave of all the player awards being revealed throughout November. For the Cleveland Guardians, Steven Kwan received the award as the best defender in the American League out in left field. Kwan has won the Gold Glove award in four consecutive seasons.

Steven Kwan joins Kenny Lofton in Guardians' franchise history 

After it was announced that Steven Kwan was named the winner of the 2025 American League Rawlings Gold Glove, that ties him with Kenny Lofton as the only two outfielders in Cleveland history to take home at least four Gold Gloves. 

So that's four MLB seasons and four Gold Gloves for Kwan, who continued to dazzle with the glove all season long. 

He led all AL left fielders with 22 defensive runs saved,

Cleveland also had three other Gold Glove finalists in Jose Ramirez, Daniel Schneemann, and Carlos Santana, however, Steven Kwan was the only Guardian to take home the hardware. 

Kwan also led MLB in outfield assists with 13 and prevented seven extra runs by baserunners. He's also been named to the All-Star team twice in his first four seasons.
