There can't be a better name in baseball than this.
The Cincinnati Reds have a prospect named Ichiro Cano.
Yep, like a mix between Ichiro Suzuki and Robinson Cano. Absolutely incredible.
Ichiro Cano is a 20-year old prospect from Mexico. He's 5-foot-11, 175 pounds and plays multiple infield spots while batting left-handed.
He has been in the Reds' organization since 2024, when he signed out of the Mexican League.
In 2025, he played in both rookie ball and in Single-A.
At the Rookie level, Cano batted.285. He was only a.215 hitter at Single-A Daytona.
Now this winter, Cano is playing in the Mexican Winter League, and he's batting.275.
Here's a look at his swing:

The numbers don't yet suggest that Ichiro Cano has an incredibly bright future.
But the Reds will likely give him a chance at High-A at some point during 2026, and if he can keep his swing working there, maybe he can keep climbing the ladder.
If he ever makes it to the bigs, he'll immediately have one of the coolest names in MLB.
