Thus far, the highlight of the Chicago White Sox offseason has been signing Japanese phenom Munetaka Murakami.

However, the AL Central club, which is trying to exit its rebuild gradually, has also made several under-the-radar moves. Truth be told, the White Sox have had a productive winter that could help them surpass their 2025 win total of 60.

Chicago made an addition to its bullpen on Sunday, signing Ryan Borucki to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training. The left-hander had a 4.63 ERA and struck out 32 batters in a combined 35 innings last season with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Toronto Blue Jays

Chicago's lefty options in the bullpen

With eight years of experience, Borucki has a decent chance of cracking the White Sox Opening Day roster. In 60 at-bats against left-handed hitters last season, Borucki held opponents to a.117 batting average and a.379 OPS.

Right-handed hitters fared much better against the southpaw, hitting.338 with four home runs in 65 at-bats. Borucki will have to outperform Brandon Eisert and Tyler Gilbert during spring training to become one of the main options out of the bullpen in the early months of the upcoming season.

Borucki will turn 32 in March and made his Major League debut in 2018 with the Blue Jays.
