The 2025 MLB season has officially come to a close after the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in dramatic fashion to win the World Series in seven games.

With the season wrapped up, Rawlings announced the annual Gold Glove Award winners on Sunday, and the Chicago Cubs were well represented. The Cubs had three players take home hardware, including center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong, who earned his first career Gold Glove.

Despite offensive struggles in the second half of the season, Crow-Armstrong’s defense remained elite throughout the year. The 23-year-old finished tied for first in Outs Above Average (24) with Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. Crow-Armstrong also ranked fourth in Fielding Run Value, trailing only catchers Patrick Bailey and Alejandro Kirk, as well as Boston Red Sox center fielder Ceddanne Rafaela.

Both Rafaela and Bailey were also named Gold Glove winners in their respective leagues.

Joining Crow-Armstrong among the Cubs’ honorees were left fielder Ian Happ and second baseman Nico Hoerner. Happ earned his fourth consecutive Gold Glove, while Hoerner reclaimed his title after Brice Turang of the Milwaukee Brewers won the award — and the Platinum Glove — at second base last season.

The Gold Glove represents yet another milestone in Crow-Armstrong’s young career, following his first All-Star appearance and helping lead Chicago to a postseason berth.

Now, attention turns to the Platinum Glove Award, which honors the best overall defender in each league. Crow-Armstrong will be among the favorites, competing with elite National League defenders like Masyn Winn and Ke’Bryan Hayes.
