There are tons of things to be excited about if you are a fan of the Chicago Cubs. They are coming off a strong season where they made a run in the postseason, and some younger players are starting to step up in a big way.
Pete Crow-Armstrong was one of the most exciting players to watch last season, and Cade Horton was one of the most dominant arms in all of baseball in 2025.
On top of that, the front office has made the most of the offseason so far. They have made a few signings that should ultimately help the Cubbies come out much stronger this upcoming season.

Cubs' explosive offseason should have the Brewers on high alert
One team that has dominated the NL Central over the last few years has been the Milwaukee Brewers. They have won the division the last three seasons in a row, but that could come to a change in 2026.
The Cubs made multiple additions that should put the Brew Crew on notice. They shored up their bullpen by striking deals with Phil Maton, Caleb Thielbar, and Hoby Milner, acquired Edward Cabrera in a trade with the Miami Marlins, and most recently signed Alex Bregman to a five-year deal.
With this, Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer believes the Cubs have overtaken the Brewers as favorites in the NL Central.
"The Cubs aren't on the same level as the Los Angeles Dodgers, but they have positioned themselves to get revenge on the Brewers in the NL Central. Depending on what happens elsewhere, that alone could be a ticket to a first-round bye this October."
The Cubs will certainly be a team to watch out for in 2026. From their starting rotation to the sluggers in the lineup, this could be one of the best teams that the fanbase has seen in quite some time.
