The Boston Red Sox seem to have a pretty full lineup of hitters.
That apparently isn't stopping Boston from making phone calls about some of the best possible trade targets out there.
One of them? Corey Seager.
According to the Boston Globe's Tim Healey, the Red Sox have discussed a Seager trade with the Texas Rangers.

Seager is due to make $31.5 million in 2026, but when healthy, he remains a top-tier hitter from the left side.
In just 102 games in 2025, Seager hit.271 with 21 home runs and an.860 OPS.
His career OPS is.871.
Seager played his first seven seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he's been with the Rangers for four years now.
He'll turn 32 years old in April.

At 6-foot-3, Seager has always been expected to move off of shortstop eventually. Maybe he'd be an alternative at third base for the Red Sox if they can't re-sign Alex Bregman.
Boston has also been linked in trade talks to Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte, who can play a handful of different positions.
One way or the other, it seems the Red Sox will continue to get better this offseason, whether that's by getting Seager or a different star.
