The Baltimore Orioles are looking to put to bed a rather unfortunate 2025 season. After generating some hype in 2024, they quickly lost it all with their abysmal start.

They finished the regular season in last place in the AL East. Now, it is time for the front office to fill some holes and come out much stronger in 2026.

Luckily for them, there are a ton of high-quality players on the open market looking for a new opportunity. From pitchers to hitters, Baltimore has a ton of players to think about.

One thing the Orioles must do during the offseason is find a pitcher or two. The front office cannot go into the new season feeling confident about Grayson Rodriguez's ability to stay healthy. They could also use another impact bat to help stabilize the offense.

However, they are not ones to go after the biggest free agent names. But MLB.com's Mark Feinsand believes they could surprise everyone here.

"The Orioles – another team that has not historically been in on many top free agents – could make a big move or two, throwing their hat in the ring for the top starting pitchers (Dylan Cease, Michael King, Ranger Suárez and Framber Valdez) and possibly an impact bat such as Pete Alonso."

Feinsand believes they could go after one of the top starting pitchers and could go after Pete Alonso. This would be quite the addition if Baltimore could pull this off.

With their young core starting to get older, the front office knows its window is starting to close. Going all out this winter would help turn the team into contenders, and it is something that fans will want to keep their eye on over the next few months.
