Coby Mayo knew he was in trouble.
The Orioles rookie was in a rundown. He was caught. And so instead of giving up, he made a last-ditch effort to collide with a White Sox defender and earn an obstruction call.
Mayo did make contact, but it was obviously forced and drew no such call from the umpire.
Even worse, the White Sox didn't like it, and a quick on-field feud turned into the benches clearing.

It's not often you see benches clear because of an infield collision.
Mayo hasn't been in the big leagues long, but he got himself involved in some antics here in a hurry.
Both these teams are having rough seasons, so maybe it was just a good chance to blow off some steam.
