The Atlanta Braves are looking to bounce back after a disappointing season. Injuries played a big part in their fall this season, and the fans would love for the team to return to the postseason in 2026. 

The team could use another starting pitcher or two and some bullpen help. On top of that, they could also use another power bat to help stabilize the offense. 

However, while much of the attention is on the offseason rumors, it is never too early to think about next year's draft. They are slotted in with the No. 9 overall pick, but they also get a bonus first-round pick thanks to Drake Baldwin.

While the Braves have the No. 9 pick, they were also awarded a Prospect Promotion Incentive pick, the No. 26 pick, thanks to Drake Baldwin winning the NL Rookie of the Year Award. 

With the draft picks set, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter recently came out with his early 2026 mock draft. In it, he believes Atlanta will take a flier on Georgia high school slugger Trevor Condon. 

"The Braves have turned to their own backyard early in the draft more than a few times in the past, and Condon plays his high school ball about 20 miles from Truist Park. With an undersized 5'11" frame and a strong mix of hit tool and speed, he has drawn some comparisons to Lenny Dykstra, Brett Gardner, and Sal Frelick."

Atlanta has not been shy about grabbing Georgia talent in the draft, and they could do the same here. As mentioned, Condon plays his high school ball for Etowah HS, just a few miles away from Truist Park. 

While he is undersized, he has gotten some comparison to some of the most well-rounded players the sport has seen. If he can live up to expectations, he could be a great late-round pick for the Braves.
