The 2025 season was not too kind to the Atlanta Braves and their fanbase. They finished the regular season with a record of 76-86, which ranked them fourth in the NL East, and they missed the postseason.

That was the first time the team missed the postseason since the 2017 season. Not wanting to repeat that, the front office has been kept plenty busy so far this offseason.

They have made a ton of moves to help fill holes for the 2026 season. So do not be surprised if they come out humming when the new season kicks off.

While Atlanta has not made some of the headlining moves as other teams have, they have been able to sign players that they feel confident in filling a hole.

The Athletic's Jim Bowden believes they have done enough so far to be ranked as the fourth most-improved club so far this offseason.

"The Braves' back-end of the bullpen is improved, the shortstop position has been solved and the roster depth is the best it's been since they won the World Series in 2021."

One of the biggest moves Atlanta has made so far is signing Robert Suarez. He will not be the team's closer, but he is expected to be a high-leverage arm to get the ball to Raisel Iglesias, who the club also signed this offseason.

On top of that, they also engaged with the Houston Astros in a trade, sending Nick Allen to Houston and receiving Mauricio Dubon.

Lastly, Atlanta was able to re-sign Ha-Seong Kim to man shortstop for 2026.

That does not mean Atlanta is done making deals yet. They still have a couple more holes they could fill, like bringing in another frontline starter to pair with Spencer Strider and Chris Sale.
