Directly following the conclusion of MLB's regular season, the manager carousel has officially begun spinning. The Twins fired Rocco Baldelli, and San Francisco fired Bob Melvin. There was a report yesterday that 700-home run slugger Albert Pujols may be the leading candidate for the open Angels position as well.

The Atlanta Braves are also another club that is in search of a new head of the dugout. With everything up in the air, Bleacher Report speculated on who the wildest candidates are for each team with an open position.

Would Braves' legend Chipper Jones be a good fit for Atlanta?

In that Bleacher Report piece, writer Zachary Rymer notes that it's "very wishful thinking," but if you're a Braves fan, how could you not want such a franchise legend back in uniform and in the dugout leading a team with a lot of talent?

Chipper Jones is an avid Braves fan, as he's often seen in club seating on any given weekday night game, still staying within proximity of the team. Jones even got a little bit of managing experience this year at the MidSummer Classic in Atlanta by managing one of the sides in the 2025 Futures Game.

There might only be one player in franchise history who's been better in a Braves uniform, and that's none other than Hank Aaron.

Chipper spent all 19 seasons of his career in Atlanta and was named an all-star eight times. He clubbed 468 home runs as a switch-hitter and had a career OPS+ of 141.

For what it's worth, Bleacher Report named Walt Weiss as the "best candidate" due to his long track record of being either a bench coach or manager for the Colorado Rockies
